Homeless

There are some good things about being homeless. Like not paying bills, because you don't get them. Wearing the same clothes day in and day out. Having everything in your car that you need for that day. But most of all you find out what kind of friends you have. Having a friend offer their home for you to stay in until you figure out your situations shows you something. They open up their doors and invite you into their life and family. Pretty cool to know you have friends like that.

Getting Ready

I can't help but to get excited when I see some of my friends racing at the US Open Pro Cycling event today. There was live coverage on NBC. I didn't get to watch the whole race but man did it look cold at the start. The east coast has about the same weather that we do here in Colorado and our local race got CHANCED. So you have to be ready to suffer in the cold. Well.... Boulder/Roubaix is also 75% on gravel roads and next weekend is wide open with no racing so I don't mind missing racing in a 25-35 degree day with freezing rain on dirt roads. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2007/apr07/apr07news

Boulder/Roubauix has a lot of history that goes along with this course. Some big names have won it, and some big names have tried. Differently a tough mans course. 2 years back a teammate of mine won this race when it was part of the Excel Sports Stage Race, which I hope make a return in 08. http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos.php?id=photos/2005/may05/boulder05/boulder052/05ESBSRrr319 Paul is back on the team this year and will bring his leadership and European racing skills to the team later this season.

Today we had a morning meeting to work on the up coming races. We are going to bring a hit squad to Lincoln Plating stage race, and then split the team the following week with some of us traveling to the east coast for some big money crits and others going to Bisbee.

Chapter 100

Do I really want to share my daily activities with the rest of you? No! So... I won't. This is a once and a while, when I feel like it, type thing. There are going to be some damn exciting things going on this year, also a few dull experiences. I guess it is all in how I express it. Most of my experiences will be cycling around racing my bicycle.

Here is my gig: A working man going after a cycling dream! Cycling through my head over and over again! Have the balls to go after your dreams. Have the time of your life, but think twice. That is my only advice. My heros have the heart to live the lives I want to live. All I remember is thinking I want to be like them. If I follow my dreams and I can die when I am done!

See you on the trails
